1. This is the same brand (Profile Design) that they sell at REI for $140, as well as at my local bike shop for $200, so this is a great deal for $70. This is the same quality as those bars, both in feel and weight.

2. One difference between these bars and other Profile Design bars is these are not adjustable in terms of the length of the bars. The bars go directly into the clamps, where other bars have the ends sticking out past the clamps. Maybe that's why they are priced so much lower, as this is probably an older model that they are phasing out. I am 6'0" tall, and they are barely long enough to accommodate my reach. If you are taller (or much shorter), then you might need something else.

I like to change bar tape every year. this is the cheap mod onto the bike to re-fresh the look every year, it can make me feels like I have a new bike!

So, taking off the one years old Lizard Skins dual color (black and green two tone) 2.5mm tape and rewrap with this 3mm Fizik performance tape in Green color. This is the first time I try Fizik tape, the moment I hold the bar after rewrap. I love it already. This tape is 0.5mm thicker than the Lizard skins dual, but I feel about the same. Lizard also had 3.5mm tape.
I like the Lizard skins they hold well and perform good. However, in a very hot day I feel sticky with bare hand. Maybe that's the unique about the Lizard Skin. With glove I like it, but not my bare hand.
As of the Fizik performance tape, It has more like leather feel, but still feel the rubbery touch. However, I don't have the sticky feel on the first ride and temperature is about 90+. Is less grip than the Lizard but still have very good grip with glove or bare hand.
